Reports to: High School Principal
Salary Range: 90,000 to 110,000
**This is a new administrative position. Employment is contingent upon formal position approval by the GCVS
Board of Trustees and final budget appropriation for the 2026-2027 school year.**
Position Summary:
The High School Coordinator of Student Services provides leadership across the GCVS High school to ensure
that all students, particularly those requiring specialized or additional supports-receive equitable access to highquality programs and services. The Coordinator oversees special education, Section 504, English learner support,
counseling and mental-health services, nursing/health services, and other student support programs and activities
as assigned, in full compliance with state and federal laws. This position is evaluated by the High School
Principal.
This position reports to the High School Principal on a daily basis for the coordination, scheduling and
implementation of student services. The GCVS Director of Student Services plays a functional role in the
supervision of this position. District level issues should include collaboration with the High School Principal and
the Director of Student Services.
Duties and Responsibilities under the direction of the High School Principal:
? Provide vision and direction for GCVS high school student services systems supporting diverse learners
to ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, ADA, Chapter 71B, Title VI, and 603 CMR.
? Conduct special education services including but not limited to: initial, 3 year and annual IEP meetings,
posting of special education progress reports and special education scheduling.
? Assist in Special Education increment funding completion.
? Supervise the high school evaluation team lead (ETL).
? Participate and assist in the MTSS restructure and implementation at the high school level.
? Serve as the high school 504 coordinator.
? Schedule ELL students and staff.
? Assist in the training of appropriate staff on IEP, 504, ELL implementation and documentation.

? Ensure compliance with DESE guidance, federal civil rights requirements and parent communication in
home language services for high students and families.
? Supervise and evaluate the high school guidance counselor and school adjustment counselor
? Supervise and evaluate teachers and paraprofessionals as assigned.
? Assist in the preparation of routine reports and presentations for administration and the GCVS Board of
Trustees.
? Collaborate with the GCVS nurse to ensure appropriate health services at the high school.
? Work collaboratively with the high School Principal and the Director of Student Services to form a
positive team and collective vision aligned with the mission of GCVS.
? Attend coaching, trainings and professional development as appropriate and assigned.

Qualifications:
? Experience working in special education and student support services.
? Familiarity with the MA Educator Evaluation Framework, observation tools, and coaching strategies.
? Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and methodology of effective virtual teaching for all students.
? Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a student-centered, equity-focused approach.
? Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents.
? Demonstrated exemplary skills in oral and written communications including excellent human relations
skills.
? Ability to keep and maintain accurate records and to proactively meet deadlines.
? Possesses strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
? Demonstrated skills in supervision, collaboration, family engagement, and problem solving.
Experience and Licensure:
? Demonstrated effective experience working in/supporting student services.
? Experience supervising, mentoring and evaluating educators preferred.
? Experience working in or closely with Massachusetts public schools and student services strongly
preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in education, student services, or school leadership.
? Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field required.
? Appropriate Massachusetts Director/Administrator (non-core students moderate disabilities/special
education) licensure required or evidence that proves eligibility/potential for appropriate licensure.
Location Preference:
Applicants residing in the Massachusetts area are strongly preferred, with the ability to travel to locations across
the state and attend GCVS events as needed.
